4.2. Simple present: Negative

We form negative of the simple present using the auxiliary verb do and the negative not (don't) between the subject and the verb .

example: They  (elephants) don't live in the desert.


In 3rd person singular ( he / she / it ) we use does not ( doesn't ) and the verb ( without S).

example: It (the snake) doesn't fly in the sky.
